I don’t know how late is late, but with my son (IUI) I had the absolute faintest maybe squinter at 11 DPO, and a more definite line at 12 DPO. My HCG at 14 DPO was 66 which the nurse said was pretty low, but up to 153 by 16 DPO. I am assuming where you are at is equivalent to 16 DPO? But I don’t know how IVF would impact that. Sending good luck!

Not sure how natural pregnancies compare to IVF so I don’t know if my experiences are any help.  With my early miscarriage, I got a BFP at 8 dpo, with a squinter at 7dpo.  With my daughter, I had bfns until 12dpo.  I don’t know how late is considered late, but the later bfp actually turned out better for me.  Not sure the outcomes were related to that though.

Don’t write it off just yet! I had a FET in Feb and I only had a faint line on 9 days past transfer, then I did another FRER a day later and freaked out that it seemed lighter. I then went a bit OTT with the tests and did a FRER, clear blue digi and cheapie. The cheapie was the darkest on 12 days past transfer. I’m now 13w and seems to be going ok so do try not to worry and try to wait 2-3 days between tests as the lines don’t always darken in shorter times.

MrsG2BIre : mine was a 5 day transfer. I didn’t get betas, just had to phone the clinic at 14 days past transfer and had a scan at 8w. I just found pictures of my FRER it was light at 14dpt and it was lighter than 11dpt! I’ll try to upload the pictures now. I then did all the other tests on the same day and the cheapie was much darker and the digi said ‘pregnant’. Obviously didn’t stop the worry as I carried on doing tests, spent so much money on them. I know it’s easier said than done but I wish I hadn’t tested early and wish I had just tested on the day the clinic said and that’s it. I was so anxious during those early weeks and I think all the testing and comparing lines made it worse.

MrsG2BIre :  yeah there is a big difference and it also depends on fluids and hold etc so it definitely messes with your head.

Ah thank you, it still doesn’t feel real after 4 years trying.

Fingers crossed for your test today, rooting for you!
