This is probably a really dumb question, but what is BB cream?

I have used some korean brands (apparently, they are the one who invented BB cream). Honestly in my opionion, it’s just a heavier version of tinted moisturizer. If you   want good coverage, but not the hassle of putting on foundation and powder, then this is a lazy way to go. Otherwise, I’ll say just go for regular tinted moisturizer, it’s a lot lighter than the BB cream.

Oh hahaha, thanks for explaining.  I don’t use it, sorry- just a sunscreen moisturizer and if I’m feeling super fancy I use a sheer powder foundation.

It’s awesome!!!! I’m asian so I’ve heard about it and have been using for a while now. Therea re tons of brands out there and if you purchase from an asian make-up retailer, they usually give free samples so you can try and decide which one works for you 🙂

Unfortunately it’s not the miracle cream it claims to be. They got into a lot of trouble in Asia with their marketing campaign, in reality, it is 99% makeup and maybe 1% skincare component.

Sorry I don’t, I think I read the article from an Asian magazine. But if you look at the ingredient, it’s basically just the ingredients of a tinted moisturizer + SPF. Some brands will add a little bit of those anti-aging ingredient, but not to the extend you can skip your skincare routine.

I hate them… Why? Because they are seemed to be aimed at East Asian/ caucasian skin tones. There seems to be no market for African-Caribbean BB Creams, or even one that you could adapt and use… But I have heard so many good things, I want to try one! Frustrating!

I ordered Clinique’s last week, but Sephora messed up my order and I have tow ait another couple days. I am so excited and hopeful that it’s pale enough for my Swede complexion.

I have the Smashbox one. I agree it feels like a heavy tinted moisturizer. I feel really greasy by the end of the day. Plus it’s not good for acne prone skin. I do notice I break out more when I use it. I usually just use it because I’m running am errand and just want to go so instead of using concealer and powder, I just slap that on and I get enough coverage to not feel naked.
