I’ve been looking at her work on Etsy. I was wondering if anyone has gotten their ring from her? How did the process go? How is the quality of the finished work?
I would love to see pics of your bling, too!

She buys cheap settings made from china, that can easily be found on ebay by sellers like lan.bo, jewelryhoo, and lordofgemrings, sets stones in them (usually fairly cheap ones), and jacks the price up 300%. The quality is acceptable for a RHR imo but not an engagement ring, as the melee stones are more prone to coming loose than if you get a ring built more sturdily. I’d just but directly from the ebay sellers if you find that quality acceptable for an engagement ring.

@distracts: That’s pretty much the exact review I’d give. There are a few reviews (well, more than few I guess) on Pricescope that indicate all of what you’ve said. Her stuff is pretty, no doubt.

I should have clarified that it’s for a RHR(my engagment ring is being made be a local jeweler as we speak)
Maybe I’ll just take the inspiration to him….

Honestly, her prices are beyond ridiculous and her settings look flimsy. The bands are just obscenely thin.

Okay, as a RHR I wouldn’t be too concerned with the quality – most pricescopers have rings from her and the ebay sellers for RHRs. I’d just buy online from one of the ebay sellers.
Compare these two (not exactly the same ring but similar enough):
However if your price range covers LS’s inflated prices, might as well look into pricing from your local jeweler or other Etsy jewelers.
eta: I will also add the disclaimer that I do not know FOR SURE that LS uses china-made settings from manufacturers such as the above-mentioned, but it sure does look like it to me. Otherwise she has an extremely similar aesthetic and produces far more settings in a short amount of time than any independent two-person jewelry company I’ve ever encountered before.

Hahaha…well said @distracts:!!
She doesn’t have enough hours in the day to make all the rings she claims to make!!

Hi guys, this is Laurie Sarah 🙂 I thought I’d briefly leave a few tidbits here… I certainly respect everyone’s right to speak their mind but just wanted to clarify some things being said. Thanks in advance for your ear. It seems from the comments that they are being mainly based off some Pricescope comments left quite awhile back regarding a line of jewelry that we discontinued about 2 years ago. Many of these Pricescope comments hold items of mis-information or out right untruths, but unfortunately Pricescope does not allow vendors any outlet to defend themselves when this happens. Although it was a very popular line, it was just too dainty, and it just wasn’t representing the kind of jewelry our customers were expecting from us. We have since branched out to incorporate almost exclusively my husband’s amazing talent for designing rings completely from scratch. His 35 years of experience in the business combined with my 25 years of design and business experience was the perfect match, and we have grown tremendously since our marriage almost 5 years ago. We are so greatful for all the wonderful clients who have entrusted their high quality, custom designs to us. For those of you in this thread who are interested, you can see how most of our jewelry is produced today, as well as the wonderful faces of the employees that help us make it happen here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/LaurieSarahDesigns/about/ You can also see our feedback section here which we are very proud of: https://www.etsy.com/people/LaurieSarahDesigns/feedback?ref=owner_feedback_leftnav This is a wonderful way to get an accurate portrayal of our quality and see reviews from over 1200 satisfied customers.
