I’ve been veeerrrry hesitant to share a lot of my wedding planning details with family and friends so far because I didn’t want to go through opinion overload, but everybody’s asking me about my colors. These are the two that I’ve had in mind (or two shades very close to these particular samples), and I’ve been surprised at the number of people who’ve looked at me like I’m loopy. Aight, hive — do these two colors really not go together? Am I crazy? I need some other eyes to look at them 🙂 (Also, the brown might possibly be a little darker… if that makes a difference)

I think those colors look nice together. Brown is a neutral and will look good with a lot of colors, including this one. Another rule of thumb is to remember that colors seen together in nature will often look nice in other contexts.

Love them! Those were our colors!
I’m not fussy with sticking to something very tunneled, like a specific color, so we ended up with multiple shades of browns/beiges and mostly lavender shades of purple.

I LOVE these colors…in fact, I was going to use them for our wedding, but changed my mind to a Chocolate Brown and a dark jewel-tone purple instead of the lighter lavendar color.
I actually got my inspiration from a lot of home design magazines…I think the colors go well together! And since you’re doing a fall wedding, you can still incorporate other fall colors via flowers, linens, etc.

I think these go together well. They are not my personal style but regardless they absolutely do go together.

I personally like the color combination! If you decide not to use brown, then pair amethyst with drab yellow, gray, black, or off white for a sophisticated look. The biggest thing is to make sure that the colors are the same tones. Good Luck!
