- Wedding: September 2013
This is my first post. I have been lurking for over a year now, and I’ve always been able to find the answer I was looking for. Not today! Let me start by giving a brief description of my wedding idea:
FH and I are getting married outside at a location specifially rented out for weddings. Pond, cobblestone bridges, weeping willows, a bridal cottage…Its fabulous. They do not allow alcohol on the property and have limited space, so we decided instead to have the reception under a large century pole tent my FMIL’s backyard. September 14th, 2013 in Minnesota should be perfect weather for an outdoor reception. Comfort food, lawn games, beer/wine, dancing under the globe string lights. Not too formal, more like a backyard BBQ with some class. DIY touches here and there.
My dilemma is the color scheme. I have chosen the Casablanca 1827 in champagne with ivory lace overlay as my wedding gown. My girls are going to be wearing Bill Levkoff chiffon dress style 777 in ‘victorian lilac.’ I would like to see the men in charcoal/grey pants with matching vests, ivory shirts and a tie. No jackets. Flowers will consist of lavender/yellow button things/etc.
I have no idea what to do about the tablecloths. I’ve never envisioned ivory tables. Originally I thought charcoal. Then I thought lighter grey would be better, so the men wouldn’t blend into the tables. Maybe I should go against my original plan and go with the ivory.
I’m open for any idea!
Thanks so much!
