I was going through the same thing – even bought the Sole Mates. I have decided to go with boots, because I really don’t want to have to worry about anything on my wedding day. I know you said that you L-O-V-E heels, but I wouldn’t risk them on the lawn……

I’m with you – I love heels. We’re getting married on the beach and I still want them, because they’re ‘me’. I say go the SoleMates route or cute wedges. Heels sometimes give you that extra boost of confidence/feeling beautiful!

I am also 5’1″, I would go with the solemates. I am not having an outdoor wedding but I am still ordering them.

As a self-confessed stiletto enthusiast, I hate the thought of ruining beautiful heels by wearing them outside. I actually use a high heel protector like mentioned above, but I find that this one is much better because it protects the entire heel and blends in with the shoe quite nicely. They even have a bridal line. They are called IdealHeels (http://idealheel.com/), and they are a serious lifesaver! They prevent you from sinking into grass and also make for a much easier walking experience when trekking on uneven terrain. I am actually going to have an outdoor wedding and provide a pair for all of my bridesmaids. They are going to love me for it, trust me!

I just purchased 3 classic sole mates. I am wearing heels on my wedding day on the lawn so I needed something like this. I bought two extras for my mom and FMILs in case they need them day of (oh hey- I see you are wearing heels, maybe you’d like a pair of these heel protectors to keep from sinking in the ground) Score some points maybe? ha!!! My wedding is not until 7/7/2012 but I’ll let you know how they worked out!
