(Closed) Layering cardigans over dress shirts, HOW to do this?

Your dress shirts may be too loose or too thick for this. Look for a form fitting one with a decent amount of stretch, or one with a thinner fabric (most of her shirts look either sheer or are made of a thin fabric, so they won’t make bunches under the sweater). Also, the sweaters have to be decently loose before you put a shirt on under them. Look for ones with sleeves that aren’t tight.

The gigantic issue I think is just the fabric you are using. Try and find a dress shirt with a thinner fabric. Once you do that, put a tanktop between your dress shirt and your sweater. This will smooth out any wrinkles, bumps, buttons, ect that muck up the look you are going for.

I used to always look SO puffy and fat when I tried this. Like@MeiFrancis:  said, you have to get a more form fitting button down. I ended up buying a few that were much tighter than I would ever wear to work, but they work perfectly for this look.
