(Closed) Lazer pointers can cause OCD in dogs?

yup!

Dogs can fall into obsession very easily! With no job and lots of energy they will adopt lots of strange activities.

They need mental and physical stimulation, chasing the lights is an attempt to fulfill it.

My dog loves chasing that little red laser pointer light and she shows no symptoms of OCD.  As soon as we put the laser pointer down, she moves on to other toys / sleeping / watching people outside by the pool / etc.

Oh – I also wanted to add that within the first play session, she figured out that the red dot comes from the metal thing in mommy’s hand and that I controled it.  So she knows that when I put it away, the red dot is gone.
