Hey bees! As some might know from my recent post, Fiance and I will be going long distance in a few weeks and will be LD for approximately 9-10 months. I’ve never experienced an LDR at all, and since Fiance and I have been living together for over a year, it’s gonna be a rough transition!! I know there are quite a few LDR bees out there, and I know I would love to give you support and have yours in return! This forum is a lifesaver for me sometimes, really!!

We have been doing long distance for almost 2 years now. Before that we were together for 2 years, but not living together. We don’t really have a choice for at least another year, and are now engaged. Honestly, when you’re relationship is great it is not that bad. We miss each other very much and I would much rather wake up by his side everyday, but all other aspects of our relationship are the same. We’ve really learned to communicate because there’s no other option! We work through arguments better than ever. And we trust each other 100%, that’s probably the hardest and most important part. When we do see each other (once or twice a month) we can focus completely on each other.

My Fiance and I are currently LDR and will be till we get married. We talk on the phone almost everyday and occasionally Skype(highly recomend video chatting). Fiance is in the Air Force so him being gone for months at a time often is just something we deal with. He is currently stationed in a different state where I am living. I do know that after we have been apart, we always have a new appretiation of the time we actually do get to send together. Another benefit to the LD is that you get to know more about each other as you really only talk.
