Dear Daughter:
1. How far in advance did you lose you mucous (sp?) plug? The morning I went into labor, I lost my mucus plug.
2. Where were you or what were you doing when your water broke? I was driving back to work after picking up lunch from a local restaurant for a lunch meeting. It wasn’t that big of a deal; I was wearing a pad, which soaked up the majority of the liquid. It was a slow leak, at first, so it wasn’t much more than a regular period flow.
3. What was the time duration from when your water broke till you gave birth? about 9 hours.
4. With regards to your due date: Did you give birth early, late or right on time? exactly 1 week early.
5. What was your best experience/memory from giving birth? Hearing the doctor announce that Dear Daughter was a girl was incredible. We were Team Green, and when the doctor said, “It’s a girl,” I looked at my husband and said, “We have a daughter,” and we both burst into tears. They laid her on my chest immediately afterward, and it was so incredible.
DS:
1. How far in advance did you lose you mucous (sp?) plug? A couple weeks.
2. Where were you or what were you doing when your water broke? My water didn’t break until I was about 6 cms along, right after I got the epidural in the hospital.
3. What was the time duration from when your water broke till you gave birth? about 4 hours.
4. With regards to your due date: Did you give birth early, late or right on time? exactly 1 week early.
5. What was your best experience/memory from giving birth? The moment my husband announced that DS was a boy (we were Team Green again)! I told my husband “I don’t think I can do this, ” and then I gave one final push and out he came! It was so amazing to hear my husband announce that DS was a boy and realize that I had a son!
