Don’t get so drunk on shots with your friends at the reception that you can’t remember the last 3 hours of the wedding! I have no recollection of the band, the DJ or the many photos of me dancing with various people! Luckily my Darling Husband and friends have assured me I was a ‘happy drunk’ not a super annoying or emotional one! Judging by all the hungover faces (including DH!) at breakfast the next morning I wasn’t the only one…. But still. it would be nice after 12 months of planning to be able to remember more of the awesome party we had! #lfmwf

These are from my SIL’s wedding:

Make sure you bring your marriage certificate or assign someone very reliable to bring it!

Define who will pay for what in your bridal party so that there isn’t a friendship crushing blowout a week before the wedding.

Reserve seats for imediate family members or warn them that there is an open seat policy ahead of time so that they know to get a good seat and aren’t sitting behind not so close family friends.

KoiKove:  Visit your florist the day before your wedding to confirm that what she considers pink is really pink and not purple!

Aargh, the exact same thing happened to me! I was so annoyed!

Your DJ will almost certainly ask you what song you want to play as the last song of the evening. Have something in mind so that you don’t freeze up and pick the first song that comes into your head – for example, ‘Call Me Maybe’.

(…But oh well, it was still hilarious and fun.)

If you’re not religious, don’t let your reader “surprise” you with the reading choice. Our ceremony had a little religion, but I was soooo uncomfortable with our reading.

NowMrsS:  #3 is going to be my mom doing that to me. I’m already predicting our ceremony photos will have her with a wildly large grin.

Tell your venue to serve cake to all of your guests. Apparently that’s not common sense and they might think you want to save half of it otherwise…

If it’s super windy for you outdoor wedding, don’t wear your hair down in curls because it will look a hot mess before the ceremony is even over.  Put that shit in a side pony or at least half-up!  #LFMWF

if your bridesmaids are wearing short dresses – ask to see their shoes before your wedding day.  I tried to be the laid back bride and told my bridesmaids to wear whatever nude colored shoe they wanted.  my usually stylish bridesmaids ended up wearing some ugly shoes…and some that were not nude #LFMWF
