Ironically, over the last few days, I’ve taught myself to crochet and am actually halfway done with my first baby afghan!  It took me a whole day to get the whole “double crochet” stitch down, but I did and it’s looking good!  I followed a video on Youtube and I think it was called, “Sugar Pop Baby Afghan” or something like that.  I bought a beginner’s set that came with a book and DVD, but I’ve never looked at either one.

Youtube is your friend. It’s my go-to reference whenever I need a refresher on a knit or crochet stitch or term. Good luck and have fun!

@Narwhal:  +1 I love youtube! I knit four times a year and I usually forget each stitch.

Darling Husband taught me very basic knitting.  I’ve learned a lot of additional stuff fro YouTube.
