I didn’t.  Mostly because the fabric kept getting stuck to the beading on the back of my dress when people would hug me.

I took mine off at my first wedding reception because I changed dresses and the white veil didn’t look good with the red reception dress.

I don’t want to mostly because I’m worried about getting a lot of hugs. Wearing a veil down my back and having someone hug me without being cautious – they would most likely put their arms around me AND my veil and pull my head back.

Now I’ve never worn a veil but this is what I expect will happen. I have long hair so sometimes when people hug me it pulls the hair a bit and I’d worry about the veil being pulled out and/or ruining my hair

I probably will 🙂 I hope *crossed fingers* to wear my mum’s veil, it had was chapel length with a blusher (whatever you call it when you can have the veil over your face as well as behind your head) and she had the blusher flipped over the back for the reception. I hope to do the same 🙂

@kayberry:  <– She’s 100% right. My sister warned me off wearing the veil for the reception because hers gave her a huge headache, getting tugged over and over with all the hugging.
