I do this, because the value of my clothes, shower stuff and gym bag are basically negligible to me 🤷‍♀️  If someone really decided to steal my old gym bag and outfit I’d probably just laugh at the ridiculousness of it. But I also don’t leave anything of value in my locker

Yeah I don’t lock my stuff up either. My cell phone, debit card and key fob are with me out on the floor in the gym. The only thing I keep in the locker is a change of clothes, and a diaper bag while my son is in the nursery.

Yep. The locker tokens at my gym cost $2 and more often than not the locks are jammed and don’t work anyway.

Why pay for a locker if you don’t leave valuables in there anyways?

I do orange theory and will either leave my purse in the lobby or use a locker without locking it, I probably wouldn’t do this in a regular gym locker room. At orange theory there aren’t people coming and going as were all in the class, and I can see the lobby while working out.

Yeah I leave my clothes in the locker… I would be pretty shocked if someone wanted to steal them. I don’t leave my phone or wallet.

I always lock my stuff up. I don’t want to have to carry my keys and wallet around while I’m working out.

I don’t own a lock and travel too much to have a single gym bag to reliant keep it in. Also, I’ve never had my stuff stolen. People are really quite trustworthy (and I leave valuables in all the time)

Never. I worked at a gym and have heard it all. Shoes, clothes, old gym bags etc stolen. One person had their old shoes stolen on a snowy day in the middle of winter while in the hot tub and had to use flip flops as an alternate, brrrr! I’ve also heard stories of people having their lockers broken into because their personal locks weren’t safe enough so I also avoid the personal lockers as well. My coworkers even told me not to leave my phone on machines when I go to get the spray to clean it off as they regularly have people that steal them in that time frame. (And this wasn’t even in a bad part of town!) If I don’t want to use a gym locker, I’ll hide the valuables I dont take with me in my car and run into the gym in just my workout clothes. At least I have car insurance to cover stolen goods.

my gym doesn’t even have lockers! just open pigeon holes big enough for a gym bag.

I even leave my phone & car keys in there, it is visible from most areas of the gym &  there are security cameras on 24/7 as it is an always open gym.

I lock everything in a locker as go after work and don’t want to carry valuables to a class. Though the lockers at my gym are locked via your membership card so no need to carry a personal lock.

I do this- I don’t bring valuables to the gym and people who want to steal cut the locks anyway so I figure if they’re gonna steal my stuff regardless I might as well save the money and hassle of getting a lock.

One of the gyms I go to has a a shoe rack and a wooden cubby hole shelf thing right by the door. No lockers or anything. There is usually about 5 phones just sitting on top of it. I stuff my coat in the cubby and take my phone with me on the machines.

I always lock up my stuff. I’ve seen people rifle through unlocked lockers before. I’m not leaving my stuff out for anyone to take.
