    Let me get this straight, the lights will be behind the black curtain or in front of the black curtain? I think it will look really cool in front of the black curtain with one color of lights, not many colors, so it doesn’t look christmassy….

    I had to vote no because I worry about your photos.  Having a light behind you means you’ll be backlit and your photographer will have to use a bright flash to get your face to show up when you’re in front of it.  But on the other hand, with the flash, the LED lights themselves will probably not show up which means your photos might come out looking like you’re sitting in front of a wire curtain (not sure what LED curtains look like when turned off).  I would definitely talk to your photographer before you do it, just to make sure.  If he/she says it’s no problem, then I change my vote to yes!
