@Audrey2:  I’m a leftie :-D.  When I first got my ring (It is a high setting) I did accidentally treat it a bit rough for a while.  I dinged it on my car door a few times getting in and out, I  accidentally shut it in a drawer when shutting it, it would catch on the top of the drawer. But now it is fine.  I love it!

@Audrey2:  yeah it was only for the first week or so.  I definitely wouldnt let being a leftie dictate what type of ring you choose, I never even thought about that at all until you posted.  I think I prob would have done the same if it was on my other hand as I dont usually wear rings with high settings.

I’m a leftie too. I deliberately chose a lower setting because of it. It definitely does get bashed about but I’ve been engaged for a year now and no visible damage πŸ™‚ here’s a picture:

I’m a leftie and I bash rings like crazy.  I’m really really hard on them.  I’ve had the best luck with my low set solitaire.  That way I’m not ruining or losing any side stones (those are usually the first to go for me), and the solitaire is low set with smooth prongs that don’t catch on things.  I also got platinum, which will probably get a patina faster than normal, but at least I’m not losing any metal weight with all the gouges I will put in it.

im a leftie and my ring is low set, i contemplated wearing it on my right hand but i got used to it being there after about a week or two. I hit it occassionally on my office desk and the car door. I scrape it quite often when bucking my seatbelt (right hand drive car) but its not visiably damaged.

In my country it is tradition to wear your engagement ring on your right hand, so most girls have it on the hand they write with. The plus side is that if you wear your ring on your dominant hand, you definately get to showcase it more πŸ™‚

I’m a lefty and I do bash mine around a bit but it hasn’t done any damage. It’s a blingy 3 stone wiaid with side stones and matching band. I talk a bit with my left hand so sometimes I notice people stare at it then I get self conscious and make an effort not to move my hand around so much! It’s comfort fit in the inside, and my wedding band sits quite low. I got it reset from the original (since I REALLY wanted a straight band) and noticed the big difference having it sit lower and comfort fit πŸ™‚

I bash mine quite a bit, but not to the point where I’ve done a lot of damage. As a matter of fact, when I took my ring to get cleaned about a month ago, the consultant mentioned how well it’s held up in the 4 years I’ve had it.It’s due for another cleaning, though, LOL!

Mine is medium height (Tsetting style setting) and there was absolutely a bashtastic transition period. Car doors, doors, drawers, toilet seats, sinks, the fridge, you name it. Now that I’m used to it, it’s better. I still scratch my jeans with the prongs all the time, usually when tucking n the pockets.

yeah i’ve pretty severely smashed my poor ring. Almost broke my finger getting my ring caught in a door, i couldn’t wear the ring for a week because of the swelling. LOL. on top of being a lefty, i’m terribly clumsy. πŸ™

I’m left handed and I have a really high setting. It works fine. I’ve hit it on a couple things, but nothing bad. I’ve only been engaged for a little over a month and I already noticed I bang it around less than I did when I first got it.

I have a cushion cut halo and it’s totally fine for me.
