I bought ones you assemble yourself from Michaels and then a whole boat load of sparkly, pretty things put on to them. Heaps of my fancy paper, stamps, ribbons, sparkly bits, flowers and such just sitting around in a lovely box… So far, I have made a Valentine’s Day card with them! I plan to keep it all to make more cards for people in the future. That’s the best idea I have. ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have premade ones you bought already put together… I have no idea. Good luck!

Someone on another post her mentioned the idea of framing one for each sets of parents?  I kind of liked that idea.  Also keeping and invite for any possible (or not possible) future kids.  For my friends wedding one of her wedding guests cute her invite up and used it to ‘dress up’ a candle.  It actually looked really awesome.

I cut one of our extras up into thin strips and curled them (like you would with ribbon for wrapping paper) and put them into a clear glass ornament.  It’s adorable.  Thank you Pinterest! ๐Ÿ™‚

I spent a ridiculous amount of money on my wedding invitations (about $2,400), because I wanted a very formal, engraved invitation suite. I also am extremely sentimental, so I have not thrown away a single one, and I do not plan to do so. I would encourage every bride to keep at least a small supply of her wedding invitations for any future children and grandchildren who may someday be interested in having one.
