I’m contemplating giving out CDs as one of our favors. We are having a TV-themed wedding, so the CDs would have songs featured on our favorite shows and audio clips from the shows. My fiance is a little worried about the legal ramifications of us burning 50-some CDs and giving them to people, though. I guess this is a possibility, but with all the favor sites featuring CD labels and the fact that I got the idea from a magazine, I feel like it’s pretty mainstream. Any thoughts?

I don’t know if it is tech legal. But do you think any of your friends and family are really going to go and snitch on you ? 😛

the probability that you’ll get caught is low.
But…there are moral issues involved. Some people DO make their livelihood on writing/producing/performing music…

Yeah, the odds of anyone finding out is not very high. And you are not making money off of it either, so I wouldn’t worry about it. My cousin gave out mix-CDs at her wedding.

If you legally down load the music I am sure your not doing anything illegal. The whole thing is kinda funny. I am sure the FBI isnt really gonna care about your wedding cd 🙂 Good Luck
