This is how I wear leggings:  (I’m too chicken to show my butt, lol.)    ๐Ÿ™‚

@sara_tiara:  I’m sure he’s thanking Lululemon for making leggings of questionable opacity! ๐Ÿ˜›

Pft, I always wear leggings (opaque ones of course) as pants! Why not?! They’re super flattering to my disproportionate body (shows off my flat stomach, emphasizes my big bum) and I never have a problem with camel toe (usually that means they’re too tight and you should be wearing a bigger size with more fabric!). I do make sure I am wearing a long shirt/tunic and my booty is covered if I’m wearing them to work though.

I wear leggings all the time, but they are the better quality ones that aren’t see through in the butt.  They are a wardrobe staple here in Southern CA

LOL, this makes me laugh every time. Hey, I say if you’ve got it (and I can’t see your draws or lady parts) go for it? I am not a small woman, so therefore you will likely not see these on me in public but I agree they are super comfy.

If you’re wearing leggings with a long tunic or sweater, then i guess I don’t consider that “wearing them as pants”.  That’s how they are intended to be worn.  If your butt is not covered, then no, that is never ok!

UNLESS it’s at the gym and they aren’t see through.  Athletic pants seem to be much thicker than standard leggings, at least the ones I get at Target.

This is actually how I imagine the naysayers (it’s quite serendipitous that I found these):

I only do with longer tops.  When people are wearing them for working out fine – but I will stick to my non-legging yoga type pants and capris.

I see leggings with tops that only come to the hip on so many people under 25 though.  I don’t get it but for them I think it’s too common to be much of a faux pas.  If you’re my age doing it – I judge you for it!  lol

I wear them out allll the time!  Only athletic-looking ones though, as they tend to be thicker/more supportive – UnderArmor or GapBody or some such.  TOTALLY more comfy than jeans IMO.  Most of the time I’m coming from/going to walk/run my dog or my parents’ dogs, so I feel like it’s vaguely appropriate most of the time.

On a related note, it’s reeeeally hard for me to find jeans that fit and are comfortable – I’m thin basically all over except my stomach.  So I have a waistband digging into my stomach if it fits well everywhere else.  That’s why….leggings.   ๐Ÿ™‚
