@Stephville:  Sorry, I’ve seen my best friends do that before and its just not my style.

Doesn’t help that I’m really curvy so I know I would get crap for wearing leggings as pants anyway >.<

Just to add my two cents! I work in a bar as a door host & I wear leggings EVERY SHIFT! The lighting is dim & my leggings arent see through, so I dont cover the bum. Basically they are SUPER comfy, and form fitting to show off my curves which in turn makes me more money. The guys at work call them “yoga pants” because all they know is they are tight. The ONLY time I am not okay with leggings is when women bend over or you can see their panties through them. Not.Cute.

Guilty!! I wear them with a shirt that covers my butt and with ankle high boots.  What do people usually do?  Wear a skirt over them?  I only wear stockings or tights with skirts.

I’m not really offended by someone wearing leggings as pants as long they can pull them off. I think a good rule of thumb is wearing a longer shirt with them. Most good quality leggings aren’t any tighter than thin stretchy skinny jeans.

I’m almost 30 weeks pregnant and basically live in maternity leggings. I always wear them with longer shirts though..

@Stephville:  Baaaah, I really hate seeing girls with only leggings, its like they were in a worry to leave house that hey forgot to wear a skirt. Not cool 😛

But I don’t judge the ones that do it, I just wouldn’t do it, ever.

@Miss Jackrabbit:  Oh my… Camel toe.

Normal leggings made out of light cotton/poly/spandex should only be worn with skirts/dresses/tunics/etc.. Jeggings made out of thicker material can be worn as pants, but try not to have the accompanying shirt be too short. For the record, I always thought I was too fat for jeggings, but I tried on a J Lo for Kohl’s pair, and I LOVE THEM!

if I had a great ass (I don’t!) I would wear leather and metallic leggings ALL THE TIME to go out!

I’m not thin enough for just wearing “jeggings” or the super thick leggings.

I use mine in the same way as tights for if I might fall/be cold/its windy and my bum might show, but all of these things under dresses/skirts. I figure if I’m going to be drinking enough alcohol that I may flash, the see through leggings are still way less see through than tights…

I’m all about comfort, but I don’t want to see your ass. If you’re going to purposely wear see-through leggings, don’t get mad when I giggle about it.

I’m very likely to point it out to you, just to confirm that you meant to leave the house with your cheeks on display! 😡

I promise I will only judge you if you look like the picture Miss Jackrabbit posted.  I wear leggings under dresses and tunics all the time, so no hate from me!

I wear them as workout pants but I’m not a huge fan of leggings as pants as a personal preference, because I’m not confident about the size of my butt and thighs and I’d rather cover them up than highlight them!

They’re pretty handy for me because of my height – dresses that look normal on shop mannequins become nightclub length when I put them on, so I go with leggings underneath so I don’t show everyone what colour my undies are.
