Heck no! If I can see your labia, cellulite, camel toe, ass, underwear, etc. they are not pants. There is a difference betwen leggings, tights, skinny fit pants and yoga pants, and it’s the tickness of the material and what the purpose of them are.
Skinny fit pants, and yoga pants are pants. Tights and nylons are the same thing, and leggings are meant to be worn with tunic tops or mini sweater dresses, they are not pants. Actually most of the time, what people are wearing as leggings are really just those long underwear which are most definitely not meant to be worn alone.
Regardless of your size, no one wants to see that crap.
ETA: Also, simply look up fashion rules and etiquette, they all state that leggings are not pants and need to be paired with a tunic top or mini dress, which covers your ass.

Guilty. Do it all the time. Normally with a big comfy shirt or sweatshirt with boots or mocs.

I say that they are ok under a dress. But this is not ok, never ever.

I’m also going to join in with the bees who are looking for the difference between leggings and yoga pants. As of now, I don’t see a difference.

I really don’t care what other girl’s wear, however, I would not do this. I have a nice bubble butt going on and would think everyone was staring at it. Too much attention for me thanks….

So where do jeggings fall? I have a couple and find them way more comfortable than regular jeans so I wear them a lot more. I don’t own any leggings of the type being discussed here, but think they would look very cute with tunic shirts/sweater dresses (although I don’t think those look good on me, so I don’t own any). Yes, I think most people should cover their butt, but I also can appreciate a good-looking ass (and wistfully dream that mine will look as good as that one day). There is something to be said about a woman with confidence. I have seen women who I don’t think are that attractive but carry themselves confidently and my guy friends will drool over her, leaving me scratching my head. To each their own!

There is nothing wrong with leggings if worn well. I often wear mine with a tailored jacket and t-shirt or big boots. It’s a good look for winter and i’m sticking to it!

And even if you’re skinny…..it’s still NO!!

Aside from at the gym, if leggings are worn with a tunic, dress, or skirt, I think it’s okay. However, the “college girl uniform” of leggings, uggs/sneakers, and a t-shirt — that is a totally different story. They are not pants, and honestly, nowadays it comes off as trying to hard to be “effortlessly hot” or something like that. Not my style!

Yoga pants tend to be thicker, and even a little bit looser sometimes. However, that’s why I specified previously that I think even yoga pants should be worn during something active, but not in the same way as jeans or whatever. I think people should just use their best judgment on whether you can see things that could get you stopped for public indecency. I certainly don’t have the rear to wear leggings as pants, and as such always make sure my parts are covered.
