Yeah I don’t see a difference between yoga pants and leggings. I definitely don’t understand the anti-jeggings thing.. they’re basically more comfortable skinny jeans.

I love wearing leggings/jeggings as pants! So comfortable, definitely not see through, and they’re cute.

Ok so there are some pretty bad examples in here but I think they are extreme cases of people who simply have bad taste.

I would take my inspiration from something like the below, rather than the other pics being posted.

@MissFireFlower:  OK there’s nothing wrong with having “cottage cheese” on your legs and butt, but by all means, it should be covered!

No, no, no, no. Plain old leggings are not pants. Yoga pants are definitely thicker than leggings, and I still think those should only be worn to and from yoga class/the gym. Leggings that just pull on with an elastic waist and no pockets should only be worn with tunics/skirts/dresses so that your bum is covered. Jeggings, which are like super skinny jeans, are okay only if they have buttons, zippers, and pockets because then they are real pants. Those tend to be the same thickness (i.e. not see through) as skinny jeans, but are just super tight.

@FauxBoho:  they are covering the butt and cameltoe. I’m ok with that. I don’t need to see as much of a person as their Fiance does. a couple inches higher and they’d be no as well

@FauxBoho:  Now these are great examples!

I love leggings and I wear them constantly. Today I’m actually wearing a sweater dress with leggings and boots. It’s cute, sophisticated, and most definitely comfortable. I am PRO leggings. I am also pro leggings paired with a shirt, dress, or tunic that covers your booty!

Absolutely not and other… I think leggings should be outlawed… Than again, I work in a buildng where people who should not be wearing leggings, wear them with shirts that don’t cover their butts or their cooters, and its gross. (this includes opaque AND the see through ones… with thongs, or lack there of)

ETA: I do NOT wear leggings whatsoever, and I ‘could’ wear them… but refuse

@Madi.So.Excited:  this is my exact outfit today (sans sunnies). Knitted top, longer tee, leggings & boots. I think its a good look. I agree any kind of arse or ‘cooter’ haha hanging out is wrong.

@FauxBoho:  in the first pic you posted with the leather leggings, I have some and I LOVE them. Especially in the winter when I feel like my skinny jeans + boots combo is getting tired.

I don’t have a nice butt. Actually, I have NO butt, so flat cheeked in a pair if leggings isn’t exactly cute. I always make sure I have on a long top or wear them with a sweater dress/ something to cover up my butt.

I remember this thread, I got trashed for saying guilty, guilty, guilty. And for the ladies who say you don’t want to see that and claim “no ones does” well frankly, you’re wrong. Men, (and few women) do appriciate a nice looking ass. And those skinny women examples- those are extreme examples- I don’t often see THAT much.

Anywho, I’m on the if you’ve got a nice rear, go for it. But even I can admit that sometimes there is just TOO much showing (like those skinny women examples), I would not advise her not to wear leggings, I’d advise her to buy a size up in leggings.

@BeachBride2014:  Oh, I agree. Leggings are for abs classes and body pump so you can’t see up my shorts! And only in blackto hide the sweat!

Here’s a good example. As long as your shirt/tunic/skirt/dress covers your cooter and bum, then leggings are fine.

@vmec:  +1, exactly. If your leggings are see through, you need a bigger size. Leggings are not thin. If they are think, they’re not leggings, they’re tights.
