I wear them under tunic tops all the time.  My tops though, hit midthigh and others would wear them as a minidress.

I wear them, love the cordoroy leggings in winter.  I dont wear my leggings skin tight they are a tad loose but nice, not extreme and I always wear tops/sweaters that cover my butt (tunics)

I would totally wear the thick enough ones as pants as long as you see no camel toe and the top is long enough.

BeeinKentucky:  Does he have a problem with them when you’re wearing a tunic/dress/long shirts that completely covers your bum? If so, that’s a bit strange…..they’re no different than stockings or tights in those situations.

RedHeadKel:  Thank you!  That’s all I could think of through this entire thread was “well, I wore them with long shirts in the 80s.”  LOL

I don’t care what people choose to wear.  I do think they are inappropriate for professional office environments.  But I’m no one’s boss right now so whatever.  This fad too shall pass.

I pretty much live in leggings when I’m not at work. I typcally wear the athletic kind, as they’re thicker. Sometimes my shirt is long enough to cover my butt/crotch area, sometimes it’s not. Oh well lol. They aren’t see-through and I don’t have camel toe issues, so I’ll probably just continue wearing them forever.

bbbria:  Me too! If I could wear an elastic waistband at all times, I would be the happiest person alive.

I wear old/cheap leggings around my apartment constantly. They are my lounge pants and I put them on as soon as I get home. I wear capri leggings to the gym or run errands. They are thick and must pass the “bend over” test.

I don’t really wear leggings as pants, but I do wear ponte pants, which some may classify as leggings. I wear them to grad school to sit in the library all day, usually paired with a loose top of some kind like a drapey sweater. My tops don’t really cover my butt, but ponte pants are thicker and I wear them a little looser than traditional leggings. They’re not any more revealing than my jeans. I wouldn’t wear them to a (corporate) office though.

I never wear anything that gives me camel toe or with a rear seam that goes up my butt/highlights my cheeks.

I personally don’t like them because it seems that most women don’t understand the concept of leggings. They are not a replacement for pants. They should be worn with long sweaters that cover your booty or something similar as long as the rear and front are covered. I cringe everytime I see a girl wearing them with a crop top or something similar.

I wear leggings under skirts, tunics and dresses (according to my own tastes), and have zero f’cks to spare as to if/how others wear them. If you feel awesome in your leggings, rock on! If you don’t like them, that’s cool too.

I love leggings. Wear them as pants (no shame), under dress, skirts, and tunics. However I only wear the thick kind so you can’t see my underwear or tattoos or skin
