I’m just now getting around to seriously looking at music for the wedding since I realized it’s almost a year away… but I really don’t know how much music I should have. I’m planning on the ceremony taking about 45 minutes to an hour and giving around 2 hours for the reception, but I know that people may stay longer (and I haven’t officially worked out any kind of timeline). I was thinking of finding around 4 hours of music total for the just in case situation, but I’m not sure if that’s too much or too little.
Also, do any of you Bees know of any good, easy to use programs I could use to remove vocals from songs?

Are you not getting a DJ I’m assuming? Are you looking for like…background music or stuff people are going to dance to?

@Westwood: No, there won’t be a DJ or dancing for that matter. FH and I are paying for everything ourselves and to save money we’re just putting a playlist on my iPod. Our venue is really small and only 30 people are on the guest list. I want it to feel more like a backyard BBQ, so I’m mostiy looking for background music.

If your doing your own playlist then about 4 hours of music would be good. It’s better to have 4hours and ppl go before hand then to have 2 hours and ppl are just standing around..
