I think I spent too much on my ceremony shoes and reception shoes and my handbag, since almost no one saw any of them. I wish I had spent more on my gown and on my photographer and videographer, however.

I second Brielle – I bought four different pairs shoes, including two pairs of Kate Spades. So ridiculous. I also spent a lot of money on actual antique skeleton keys for the escort cards when perfectly lovely (and cheap!)reproductions would have been fine. And way too much on DIY supplies for projects that ended up not coming out great anyway.

I wish we had bought a smaller cake. We spent almost 800 on a gorgeous cake. We did 2 fake layers and 2 real layers/tiers and 2 1/4 sheetcakes. 1 slice was taken from the actual cake. Guest only ate 1.5 of the 1/4 sheet cakes! Such a waste! Also guest did not take their favors so out of 100 favors 33 were taken. My advice buy less cake and fewer favors.
