@alexam:  It sounds as if he is unwilling to curb his spending to benefit your future goals and is okay with the current budget as long as his substantial overtime continues to fund his video game, crystal, card and mug purchases. Insert eye roll that these things are more important than saving for a house. 

His refusal to pursue treatment for his mental health issues or to prioritize time together over crystals and mugs are good reasons for marriage counseling. Wishing you the best, Bee.

Marriage counseling is for BEFORE your marriage is falling apart. This seems like the perfect time to do it. 

I am divorced from someone with mostly untreated anxiety and depression issues. I would make his getting treatment and sticking with it, a condition of staying in your marriage, too.
