I love your hair down! You can always shift your hair over your shoulder if you want a few pictures of the whole back. The updo is just kinda meh.
Your dress is gorgeous by the way!

hikingbride : Thank you very much! I’m liking it down as well π I’ve just been worried that maybe it could be too much. So much pressure trying to look ‘perfect’ for the big day!

I voted down and one side pinned even though you’re right–it does cover part of the back of your beautiful dress.
But, you can see most of the back and hair down looks so romantic. You are absolutely adorable, btw.

ggirl91 : I love it down!!! I also think it suits your face shape best. I agree with the PP who said that you can move your hair to the side if you want photos of the back of your dress.

ggirl91 : I wore a similar dress and had the same problem – everyone kept telling me to wear it up, but I loved my hair down more. I have no regrets about wearing my hair down, and had some pictures of my hair swept over my shoulder to get the back detail. Wear what makes you feel most beautiful!

I also like it down! But here’s something to consider that my hairdresser mentioned when I was flip-flopping between up and down: how windy will your wedding day be? And will you be taking any photos outside? Hair down is beautiful but will undoubtedly get messy and not so cute for taking photos when it’s flying across your face. Unless you will have your hairdresser on-site to help fix up your hair as you’re taking photos, it’s a safer bet to do an updo! π Just food for thought!

I voted down. I would suggest having the front part gently pinned back so it’s not flopping across your face when you look down or if it’s windy.

Thank you for all of the advice so far Bees! I really appreciate it! We might be moving our ceremony indoors due to weather, it might rain. Our reception is indoors. I definitely have thought about pinning the other side back as well for more of a half up half down style (that’s my favorite way to wear it) I really don’t want to be fidgeting with hair in my face.

I had a side braid and I loved it! Showed off my dress but was out of the way, and didn’t hurt my head like updos. I only finalised my hair decision the day before the wedding π

ggirl91 : I feel ya girl, my hair was literally my biggest source of stress out of the whole wedding planning haha! It all worked out though, and you will look beautiful either way. I realised the side braid thing was what made me the happiest even though other people were advising differently, and I’m so glad I went with it (and a flower crown, because why not!), so pick what makes you happy.
