do you mean 2013 because October ’14 is 3 months in the future!

I’ve done

  •  venue
  • celebrant – having a humanist ceremony
  • photography
  • got my wedding shoes (yesterday in fact!)
  • diy-ing stds to go out late aug/early sept
  • chosen the dress but not ordered.
  • won’t using a dj, we know someone who has all the equitment so using that for free.
  • my mum/dad/gran are catering – menu yet to be worked out but lots of ideas.
  • won’t be having enough flowers to get a florist in – flowers are waste of money in my opinion but I understand why people like ’em.
  • decided on centerpieces.
  • asked my girls, will be picking out some dresses with them soon.
  • decided where we would like to honeymoon but haven’t look into it futher then ‘that would be nice!’

  • Wedding: June 2015 - Historic house and gardens

I’m June 7th. It’s a long weekend here, so a sunday works well. I’m yet to find a date twin.

I’m starting to get excited now that it’s closer and seems more real.

So far we have

– booked celebrant

– booked photographer  and paid deposit

– booked venue (ceremony and reception in same place) includes full catering, and paid deposit

– chosen jeweller for our rings, not started having them made yet though

– decided not to have a cake

– booked the main part of our honeymoon and paid deposit

– booked our wedding night accomodation

– chosen tailor for groom’s suit

– guest list sorted, including table plan

I still need to go dress shopping, but I am the worse shopper, and I’m prone to changing my mind a week after i buy things, so I am planning to wait a bit longer before I worry about it

PenguinLove:  I’m also not using a florist. Nice to see I’m not the only one who thinks that way

Our wedding is June 5th and I’m already feeling the pressure! Although we do have the major things booked:

  • Venue booked
  • Photographer booked
  • Videographer booked
  • Church booked
  • DJ & Photobooth booked
  • Day of Coordinator booked
  • Wedding dress ordered!! Love it
  • Wedding party asked

I’m currently trying to decide on invitations and save the dates. I also want to get out and choose bridesmaids dresses ASAP.

Our wedding is June 27. So far, we have booked our reception venue (still deciding on ceremony…we will probably end up doing it all in one place) and booked our photographer. I have gone dress shopping but not ordered my dress yet, I have picked the wedding band I want but he hasn’t ordered it yet, he already has his band most likely (he wants to wear a ring he’s already been wearing on his right hand for a while now). The cake and flowers are included with the reception venue but we haven’t gone to officially choose that yet.

We have been engaged almost a year now and we booked the venue in November, the photographer in April, and have just been discussing the rest of it up until now. We are planning to meet with a travel agent in the near future to discuss our honeymoon plans…we are really really hoping to be able to afford a week-long European cruise! We will see!

MadameX:  Our wedding is June 6 2015 and he proposed on New Years Eve last year/this year. So far on our list of things done:

-Venue booked (including caterer/drinks/and venue decor)

-Photographer booked

-Ceremony site booked

-Minister picked (will be my aunt)

-Dress bought! (actually was the first thing I did many months ago)

-DJ booked (we wanted a really popular one so took care of that early as well)

-Picked out wedding bands, have not ordered them yet though.

-BM’s and GM’s asked. Although I may ask one other person to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man and another to be a bridal attendent. I’ve got a pretty clear idea of what I’m looking for dress and tux wise for the bridal party.

-I suppose we’ve got a pretty clear idea what we want to do for our honeymoon but we haven’t got anything set in stone with that yet.

I think we’ve got a pretty good start so far. The reception is pretty well taken care of since the venue is kind of all in one with our package. Love that they are decorating for me. Our photographer will be taking our engagement photos later this summer and will make our STD’s as well. I’ve chosen the perfect invitations as well that my Fiance loves. I guess now that everything else is falling into line I just need to work on making sense of all the vision cooking up in my brain. Love boho/vintage/mixed metals with anters/feathers incorporated… If that makes sense. If not I have a year to make it make sense 🙂

MadameX:  officiants / celebrants are expensive here to (Australia). I am lucky to be having a friend do it, but it will still cost about $500. Most of that is govt fees that have to be paid to get married.
