My Mom had an emerald. It was fairly protected in the setting. After 30 years she ahd it resurfaced and it really began to sparkle again. She has passed away I am going to have it set nort to south with the trillion stones on the side.

honeybee2146 :  I have for years crushed on hallie berrys ring and then this one come up for sale and just had to have it. I only found out the meaning stuff later after I purchased it. I don’t wear it to much as I worry about damaging it as it’s low on the MHOs scale and brittle. But yeah the cream glow is like wow.

Can’t wait to see yours if swap it

You’re trading one beryl for another. Morganite, aquamarine and emerald are forms of beryl. Emeralds have a Mohs scale ranking of 7.5, they are softer, plus they tend to be very included so breakage is more likely to occur. This makes them a questionable choice for an every day ring. That being said, they’re a beautiful stone and if an emerald is what makes you happy, go for it!

Diamond = 10

Moissy = 9.25

Sapphire/Ruby = 9

Scale is not linear.
