1.03 ct, 1.61 tcw. The center stone is of SI-2 clarity and is G colour. The ring is made of 14k white gold. Appraisal value is $12,000 and my Fiance bought it for $9000.

I have a 1.15 ct center diamond, IF clarity, H color, excellent cut, size 7 ring on size 6.5 finger. If I had to do it over again I would sacrifice clarity for size.

aurora_xo:  Hmmmm…. so how would you feel about a lab grown diamond? 😀

It would stretch the budget a little bit , but BTD has this gorgeous 1.72, D color, VVS2, excellent cut lab grown diamond for just under $10k, check it out here: https://betterthandiamond.com/takara-diamond-search.php

There is also this lab grown diamond on Brilliant Earth, 1.54ct, H color, ideal cut, VVS2 clarity, $8.6k here: http://www.brilliantearth.com/lab-diamonds-search/view_detail/1611539/

Browsing around, looks like mined diamonds in the G/H color, and SI1 clarity range with ideal/excellent cut are running in the 1.4ct ish range for $9k+.

None of those sizes and stones would be anyting to scoff at, and a halo setting will make it all BAM blingy! 😀

If you want to play around with finger coverage, try this site. You can’t add a halo (that I’m aware of) but it will help you know the dimensions that you feel good about on your finger size.

1.4 round diamond in a cushion halo. Ring size is around 4.5 🙂 The stone is D colour and SI1 and excellent cut. I’m big on colour but that is my preference. Some diamonds (like mine) you cant see any of the inperfections. It’s important to look around to find the stone thats right for you!
