This is my engagement ring. It’s nothing old or vintage, BUT my Fiance did design it himself together with the jeweller, who went to the diamond market to find me a perfect sapphire. My fav color is blue, so it first perfectly. The ring also has 12 diamonds, which is my favorite number. So all in all, it’s a super personal ring.

Mine is not vintage but definitely vintage inspired! and it’s in 18k rose gold.

Mrs.DK:  beautiful ring! I’ve been seeing yours pop up here on the boards lately. Yay for emerald cuts!

Knew to this board and decided to finally post! Sorry pics are so large!

My husband didn’t get me an e-ring because I didn’t know what I wanted and I change my styles constantly. (I used my mom’s upgraded one she wore for only a year before upgrading again…3 stone platinum). Anyways, I LOVE vintage rings and we saw this one last Dec. I wear it with my original custom wedding band and a (new) vintage band I found.

The e-ring is mid-century (40’s-50’s) approx .35 – .40 diamond in an illustion setting. The side stones are pretty big and are the same size as the diamonds on my wedding band! The middle band is the new one I got for a steal, which is also mid-century. The bottom band is the one my husband bought me (we splurged on the band since I didn’t get an e-ring). It has 11 diamonds totalling a little over 1ct. We were married in Nov (2009) and his bday is 11/11, hence the number of diamonds.

I just love the “plump” look of the vintage rings!

And here is my RHR. It’s a 1ct natural ceylon sapphire (sapphire weight, not diamond. Diamond equivalant would be a little less than a carat). This one is dated around the 1930’s in a fishtail prong setting. I got it on Etsy and I absolutely love it! If the setting were higher I would wear it as an e-ring.

@MommaPants We are like ring twins!

Mine is brand new, but I think it has a “vintage-y” feel to it! (Correct me if I’m wrong!)

LadyPeacockk:  I love it! It definetely looks antique! 🙂 I also think mine looks from a past era, though not as much as yours does!

Not vintage, but I’d say mine is pretty unique. Haven’t ever seen one IRL like mine.

We got my sapphire and diamond ring from an antique dealer. Ring is from pre 1920. My birthstone is Sapphire and I knew I wanted something completely different. He knocked it out of the park. I still swoon when I look at it!

It’s not my engagement ring, but Fiance got it for me as an anniversary gift that I now wear on my right hand.
