I need some inspiration! Darling Husband and I bought our house in March and the house did not need much work. The previous owners very graciously re-painted all of the rooms upstairs (and decent colours, too!) and cleaned the house from top to bottom. Since moving in, we have re-faced the fireplace, painted the basement family room, and did a bunch of work outside like cutting down some trees and planting gardens. But, our basement bathroom needs some help. It looks like it was painted by a 10 year old, and some of the walls have a dappled look to them that has to go!
The countertops are a grey stone pattern and the tile floors have very light seafoam streaks in them. I was thinking of painting the walls a light grey and adding cream and seafoam accents. I’m leaning towards doing a vintage/distressed theme.
Send some inspiration my way and show me your bathrooms! If you have any rooms that are a vintage/distressed theme, show me those too!

Our bathroom is pretty boring. I love the purple we’re currently using though! Eventually we would like to change the counter top, but until I can learn to decorate, this is what we have going on haha. Oh & the picture us hanging on the right wall next to the sink ..I made it 😉

soy: I looked at your before and after pictures and I am blown away! You guys did a great job! Where did you get that light fixture?
stephanie091512: I love the deep purple! I was obsessing over deep purple bedding when we bought our house. The bedroom is like a turquoise colour and we have a big picture of a peacock over our bed. I was trying to convince Darling Husband that deep purple and turquoise could go together like a peacock feather. He wasn’t having it. 🙁

rcac1208: That sounds amazing! We bought a fixer-upper, so lots of work to do. Our bathroom is not huge, was LIME GREEN and had a huge, not properly insulated window. Fiance gutted the whole thing and redid it. Grey tile, and blue paint, I love our bathroom now.
