After deciding to add a topper myself, I would love to see other bee’s who wore (or plan to wear) toppers, boleros, and capes!
Early on, my Fiance and I set a fairly small budget for our big day that would allow us to comfortably host about 100 guests without dipping too far into our current savings.
My dream dress did not fit into this budget.
After doing a lot of research, I decided to ‘recreate’ my dream dress by adding a lace topper to an inexpensive bridesmaids dress that could be made in Ivory. I haven’t decided on a topper yet but really love these two that I found on Etsy.
I will be pairing the topper with Azazie’s bm dress MAVIS which has a much fuller, soft tulle, skirt in person. I actually liked the Mavis dress MORE than Jenny Yoo’s Annabelle!
(Mavis shown in Coral but I will be ordering in Ivory, toppers will be custom made in elbow length. Sorry about photo size, I am on mobile!)

smalltownbigworld : I did the same thing — more or less. Fell in love with the Jenny Yoo Hayden, but had a tight timeline and smaller budget, so ended up getting a second hand Nicole Miller Dakota (bonus: previous bride had my same dimensions so no alterations!) and bought a beaded topper. I ended up loving the combo more than the original dress!

smalltownbigworld : I had such a hard time deciding on a dress, I decided to get a topper too – and I wanted to let you know that I ordered from Tiffary on Etsy and they did an amazing job! I even custom-designed my topper based on of their designs (I modified it in photoshop and then added measurements) and it came out perfectly. I’ll PM you a link to my wedding photos – there aren’t too many of the topper but they come about midway through.

I bought a SUPER simple dress from sarah seven and I just purchased a lace topper from Etsy (sweetcarolinestyles) minutes ago! Caroline has been a DREAM to work with so far.
