I bought these lanterns super cheap off Oriental Trading and had the venue hang them for me. I loved how they turned out!!

@Asia:  We’re actually having it at my grndmother’s home in our town, which at first I wan’t totally sold on but, soon I realized It allowed me to customized all the decor just the way I wanted it!

For sure it was the poms at both the reception hall and the santuary. We also bought the fabric for the table runner and cut it ourselves since we couldn’t find the perfect shade.  My aunt added flower details to each end of the runners (not pictured.)  The menus were done by a cousin.  These are the only half decent pics I have for now.

@Asia:  I bought them from sellers on etsy and just fluffed.  I couldn’t find the color in tissue paper I needed anywhere so altough it was slightly more expensive to do it that way I got exactly what I wanted and didn’t have to worry it was 164 for all those poms there were 20 of the large ones, and 80 of the ones that went on the table.

I had about 4 people help me fluff them 2 days before the wedding over a few hours.

@LePetitJambon:  It wasn’t really an LOTR wedding.  We just used an LOTR theme for the table names to give a caveat to our love of fantasy.  We met playing D&D, so most of our friends are fantasy geeks in one way or another.  Our wedding was mostly romantic & elegant with no real theme.

So far just our invites but we are making bouquets and boutonnières too. There are also a few other ideas being thrown around but we’ll have to see how far we get!

@Asia:  Using a non-white tablecloth can make an immediate difference in making a room feel decorated:

White linens

Same room with colored linens

Plus, by using a brightly colored tablecloth, your centerpiece can be simpler because the colored cloth makes the table feel more full and more decorated.

@beachbride1216:  That’s exactly what we are doing. Coloured tablecloths and overlays and then a few lanterns on each table. Simple but gorgeous!
