elderberry :  Thanks lovely, amazing what a very expensive dress, team of hair, make up and a great photographer can do.

FutureMrsA2020 :  haha Thanks, there has to be some advantage in life to being on the ittie bittie tittie commitee, very easy to contain!

Bee’s all your simple dresses are gorgeous! Just lets you shine through. For those who haven’t worn them yet I can’t wait to see the final product of all the hard work and planning that goes into the day!

newbee5 :  I love the 1st and the 3rd!  Where are you getting married – what setting? That would help me make up my mind, though ultimately, you can wear whatever dress you want to in whatever setting.

Also – that’s where I bought my dress!  Who was your consultant?

futuremrscat :  Thank you! It’s a Stella York dress, style 6758 🙂

When I has my alterations i just asked them  to keep the v narrow, and straps not off the shoulder. Such a comfy dress!

Ciebtobe :  I’m getting married in Colorado in June of next year at a country club–I really like the first dress but I feel like I would wear that dress in any color to someone else’s wedding. There isn’t that extra special something that makes me feel like I could only wear this dress for MY wedding–you know? At the salon shown in the 2nd and 3rd pictures my consultant was Meghan, I think!

This is our ceremony site:

newbee5 :  Oh yeah, you need a more flowy dress for that site.  I would go with #3 then.

That’s how I decided about some of the dresses I tried on – if it was a dress I could see myself wearing to just any nice fancy event, then it wasn’t my wedding dress.  That eliminated one dress for me.

Not to mention, our event is black-tie preferred, so I needed something with a little more drama than a simple dress.  I don’t want to be mixed up with a guest!

Are you going to wear a veil? I feel like one would go well with that setting/venue.

Good luck!

Ciebtobe :  Yes, I’m planning to wear a veil! Not sure whether I want to go with a super simple one or one with detail. But I tried this one on with dress #3

frenchtoastvegan : I love your dress!  Would you mind sharing where you got it/who the designer is?  I’m looking at dresses similar to yours.

This is mine (assuming I ever get to wear it).  I was feeling great about it, but I’ve since been told it looks like a nightgown, is boring, and doesn’t flatter me.  It definitely still needs alterations (you can see I’m holding the sides to my body–it’s backless, so it couldn’t be clipped as far up as necessary) but idk.  Hoping I didn’t make a bad call.

annieokay :  I love your dress – super elegant (and nothing like a nightgown!)

Mine is lace, but it was still quite a simple style. I never imagined I’d wear an all-lace dress but now I love this one so much I would pick it again!

annieokay :  If that looks like a nightgown, then I’m seriously impressed by the standard of your friends’ night attire laughing  I have NEVER worn anything in bed that looks remotely this beautiful or classy!
