Hello hive! I am soo excited to be a Bee! Where to start? Well… first about me… I am a Puerto Rican New York Native aka Newyorican and proud of it… and although I’m country raised and cornfed I would jump in a car and drive to 57th and broadway for a slice of Carnigie Deli cheese cake and there is no such thing as pizza outside of Sal’s in Little italy on Broom… now a days I’m a state employee from 8-5 and a lover of all things kitchen from 6-forever! I make cakes for people and for fun… like this one…
I am studying business so one day my little side relationship with my oven will become a thriving and bustling business of all things baked 🙂 Im the oldest of 3 and my sister is my BFFFFF! I live with my husband (to be) and our 2 puppies, chip and monster…
We live in the mountains… and love it! He hunts I cook and we are happy… He was born and raised a red neck and I am in love with him all the more for his little accent he swears is non existant… but no one says water liek he does haha!
Now for the back story on US… we are actually already legally married… yup… see the thing is… he is “high risk” husband material (ie: police officer, military, ski diver, shark cager… one of the above) and we found out that we are expecting our first little bungle of joy on April 28th… so we decided since we were already going to be getting married… why not get the paperwork out of the way just in case something happens … GOD FORBID! So we eloped… On our wedding date a YEAR before the actual date… so our wedding will be on our 1 year anniversary! We are really happy though… and now since the most important part of forever is all said and done… we are on to making our 1 year the most spectacular event that $5 grand can afford… all the while hopin that once I pop this little nudger out I can loose baby weight quick enough because… I.WILL.FIT.IN.MY.DRESS.
anywho… I am excited to ba able to share both of these journeys of love, life, diaper bags and boutonnieres with you all. The day will be a grand event of DIY greatness, grandma’s home cooking, frank sinatra, marvin gay, Tim Magraw, Kenny Chesney, el gran combo and Eddie Santiago, country vinyard wines and coquito…. a good blend of my family and Mr. Oven’s.
Stick along with me so we can share laugh and freak out about it all together!
