So my grandpa has a sister. This sister has 2 daughters. These women are grown adults. Today my mom went to my grandpas and he asked my mom why I wasn’t inviting his sister and he daughters and their families. I called my mom while she was over there and he was yelling the whole time about how rude I am to treat his people like that.
Let me explain.
These same grown women, will take unflattering pics of me, IE eating, and post them on social networks with the caption “doing what she does best”. They tell me that I do nothing right, never call to see how I’m doing, and make fun of me behind my back. Why on earth would I want these people at my wedding?
He told my mom that he absolutely refuses to come to my wedding now because I refuse to invite these people. My mom and everyone else is on my side about this now it hurts to know that he won’t be there. I will not give in and invite them. I shouldn’t have to watch every move I make to make sure they don’t take a picture of me eating our dinner or our wedding cake. I should be able to enjoy the wedding without having to worry where they are, what lies they are making up, and what pics they are uploading to facebook.

Yikes! Those women are terrible to treat you that way. Sorry your g-pa is opting out of your big day because of them. Stay strong. * hugs *

That really sucks that your grandpa isn’t coming because of that! I applaud you for standing your ground! It’s so childish of grown adults to act that way! I’m kinda stuck though because F-step-MIL and her kids act the same way, but I really can’t get around inviting them! (They act that way mostly because they think I am “too good” or “too stuck up” for them)

I agree with the bees above, good for you for standing your ground! Those women sound horribly mean and rude, and it’s unfortunate that you’re grandpa is taking that stance, but you should be able to enjoy your day and not be looking for them while they lurk around to capture unflattering photos of you. They’re bullies, don’t let them bully their way into your wedding by pitting your grandpa against you. You deserve to enjoy your night!
