When we were all lined up for the ceremony to begin, I was (of course) extremely nervous. My little ringbearer looked at me and said, “I’m really glad you’re getting married.” I wanted to hug him to death. It wasn’t an adult that calmed my nerves before walking down that aisle – it was a 5 year old boy. I smiled and told him, “Me too.”

The rest of the kids were well behaved as well. They were all so eager to come up and congratulate me! And no, none of them managed to get anything on my dress. My little neice danced with her mommy and then her papaw at the reception. It was SO adorable.

There were two tiny kids at mine (a 1 year old and a 4 month old) and they were both amazingly well behaved!

I had about 15 kids, ranging from 6 months to 16, but the median age was about 9.  ALL were incredibly well behaved, everyone had a blast and danced/played games….I even got to make a fort with my niece.  Those kinds of experiences are like gold.

@dayl20:  Awwww, how adorable!

At my wedding the youngest was less than a year. We had no crying no fits, nothing. All the children in attendance had fun. I had made activity books and had box of crayons for them to use during the reception. They were all gone! A lot of the parents thought that was such a neat idea.

At the dance we had several of the kiddos joining in the fun on the dance floor!  They had a blast and so did we!

We had quite a few kids at our wedding.We had 130 guests and about 15 of them were under 12. We had absolutely no drama and the kids had a blast. The photos of the kids in the photobooth are some of my favorite from the day. We had 2 girls before we were married and having them be a part of our day was so special and they both still talk about it.

I had about 20 kids at my wedding and I was shocked that they behaved so well at the ceremony. And even though I left the activity books at my mom’s house (bummer they are stilll there) they did a great job at the reception. They danced more than the adults and the compliments were pouring from the kids of how much fun they had and how beautiful everything was.

@dayl20:  That is so sweet!

@Katnisseverdeen:  The last kid friendly wedding I went to…I actually didn’t even realize it was kid friendly until after we ate dinner and the dancing began! I didn’t sit near any children in the ceremony and none were seated at my table. I guess I was so focused on the ceremony and then eating that I didn’t think to look around. They were all so well behaved that I didn’t even realize they were there! After the dancing began, the kids (which appeared to range from about 2-14) went out on the dance floor, had a great time but were also really respectful of what was going on. I attribute it 100% to good parenting skills! It was really enjoyable!

We only allowed the flower girl, but she was super super cute.  She danced all night long.  My friends adored her.  And she made for one of the most beautiful photos of the evening.  Her sitting in front of a huge picture window as it poured outside.

The last wedding I attended there were three kids, children of a guest. They were all adorable and well behaved. The littlest girl was about two, and she just followed the bride around at a worshipful distance for most of the evening. At one point the bride and bridesmaids were dancing and invited this tiny little girl onto the dance floor with them and the bride got down on her knees (in her gigantic dress) so they could be the same height while dancing. The little girl looked like she thought she’d died and gone to Princess Heaven. It was adorable.

(The other two were a boy about 4, who must’ve been given the order to keep an eye on his little sister, because he took his duty very seriously, following her around all evening, and an older girl, probably eight or nine.)

There was no screaming, crying, cake poking, or any of that other stuff people are always worried about.

We had around 15 kids at our wedding ranging in age from 3 all the way up to 12 or so. All of the children were on their best behavior and they really added a lot of fun to the dancing at the reception. Kids aren’t afraid to boogy! 🙂 We made little gift bags with activity books for all of the kids as well and I think that really helped to keep them entertained when they weren’t dancing at the reception. The parents loved that we made those bags for the kids! I think it helped to allow them to get out and enjoy the reception as well.

We had about 15 kids under 18 (youngest was 5).  Most were cousins, so they had lots of family they knew to entertain them.  They, also like other people have said, tore it up on the dance floor!
