Add me to the not religious but will pray anyway, as I always do in times of crisis. Macintosh and her beloved are in my thoughts and prayers.

@alishaloo:

I will be praying for Mrs Macintosh and her beloved Justin, of course.

Believe it or not, I was in the same situation years ago.  My late DH missed a curve on  freeway overpass and landed on the freeway.

I made it a point to learn all I could about head trauma.  Even when I went to grad school, I studied neuropsychology.

What I learned was that the brain is a mystery and incredibly complex.  Right now,i imagine the docs are most worried about swelling and doing all they can to get that under control.  They won’t know the actual extent of the damage until the swelling is gone.

Sometimes, miraculous things do happen with the brain, it is ever so complicated and unique.  We just have to wait and send up our prayers.

I am also praying for the Bee who just lost her beloved husband to pancreatic cancer a few days ago.

@allihappy: My thoughts exactly.

Macintosh and her husband (Kim and Justin) have been in my prayers since yesterday morning and will continue to be.  I’m really pulling for a miraculous recovery to this tragic event.

@Hyperventilate:  +A BILLION.

Thank you for posting that not all of us believe in prayers.

But macintosh and her DH are in my thoughts.

P.S. Has she commented with an update?

@alishaloo:  I know your post is well intentioned, but the “Even if you are not religous please pray for our fellow sister!” is kind of unnecessary.

Why and to whom would those who do not believe in a god pray?

Those who don’t pray or believe can send their good thoughts and support to her, which I’m sure they have.

FFS. Nobody is trying to convert anyone.

Nobody cares what you believe. But making a thread that’s supposed to be supportive all about yourself instead of just sending good thoughts and hugs and being done with it does say something about the kind of person you are.

@allihappy:  +1000 seriously. Just close the damn thread instead of turning into something about yourself. This is not the time or place.

Praying for a miracle for Kim and Justin.

@allihappy:  Agree!

I’m keeping them both in my thoughts and prayers.
