    Single stone with metal band

Pave is ok along the band

Small stones set any type of way along the band are ok

Different size side stones are ok

It literally means any piece of jewelry with a single diamond. If there are side stones, an entire band of pave stones, etc. it’s not a solitare. That said, I personally still consider it a solitaire if there is a random hidden stone under the bezel somewhere that a person has to go searching to find.

Ultimately, the gemnologists have the final say.

@roofox:  awww thank you!! Your ring is very beautiful as well😍 I haven’t had any issues yet other than the occasional fuzzy that gets stuck in the prong~

Here’s my definition in my humble opinion: my solitaire diamond on a plain band with no side diamonds. Super simple but I love mine all the more for its simplicity. I do also love all of the variations on this thread, all beauties. ❤️
