@Mrs. DG: I think I’m going to watch that movie after we finish watching Moulin Rouge!

1. I play clarinet. Every day for at least a couple of hours. I really need to find a band to play in. I just find it relaxing.

2. I also try to get something artistic in every day. Drawing, Writing, Painting…what have you…I try to get something in to keep my brain active.
3. I am a bookworm! I will read anything and everything but I have a soft spot for Canadian History. I love Pierre Berton the best.

4. I collect shoes! I have about 100 pairs. And I try to wear them all at least once a year.

5. I freecycle everything. Some of the stuff I could sell but it just seems easier to give it away, and I like helping people out. My dinning room table and stools are a free-cycle I picked up!

1) I have an obsessive personality. I’ve learned to avoid starting reading a book or watching a TV show if I have something to do, because I will spend all my time convincing myself I can do both. Over the summer, I went through about 5 different TV series (usually from season 1 to season 5 or so).

2) I am a beer snob to the max. I don’t drink wine or liquor very often because I would almost always prefer a microbrew. Fiance and I plan on toasting with a local microbrew because we don’t like champagne at all.

3) I’m really sad that I will be leaving the midwest when I graduate college. I’m excited to be starting my life with Fiance in a completely new place, but I’ll really miss the Great Lakes.

4) I am a huge nerd. As in understand any Star Wars reference, know any Harry Potter trivia, etc. Also as an engineer, this is perfectly natural discourse with a lot of my class mates and I have no reason to change.

5) I hit the birthday where it wasn’t exciting at all. Yesterday was my birthday, and my Fiance threw me a nice party, but I could have survived without it. 23 was apparently the magic number.

@Brianalaura: Haven’t tried any version of it, but if it’s sweet at all, I probably won’t like it.  I like my beers bitter and hoppy.

@annabelle288: I’ve never tried any either, just appealing to the HP fan in ya!  Though, if you like hoppy beers, we would be a good match.  I could drink whatever you didn’t like.  Extra hops, be gone from my beer!

@Brianalaura: Mm, they’re my favorite. But I was raised that way, my parents are India Pale Ale drinkers all the way. I blame them. They made sure that I knew what a good beer tasted like so I wouldn’t drink Miller Lite or anything like that.

1. I am an ex-opera singer. I still wonder sometimes if that’s really what I’m meant to be…

2. I originally wanted to be a professional horsewoman. You know–own, ride, train, breed, compete, the works. I had two horses-the second of which I trained myself. I miss them every day.

3. My little sister and I have the same middle name. We are six years apart. We’re a family of December babies, so my mother decided to give her the middle name of the person who’s birthday she was born on, because it was such a high chance. She was born on our great-grandmothers birthday. Her name was Opal Yula. Our great-grandmother said “If you name that baby Rachel Yula–I will never forgive you!” ha. I, being (almost) six, thought your middle name had to be the same just as your surname. So I was clueless as to why no one had thought of it yet. I proposed the name, and my parents thought it was a great idea! So we both share the middle name Nicole. ๐Ÿ™‚

4. I’m related to Anna Nicole Smith by marriage.

5. I’m also a descendant of Davy Crockett’s sister!

Oh–and I SOB at the ASPCA commercials. I went into the shelter today looking for my lost kitty, and I cried in the middle of the cat room. There’s so many of them and they’re all crying and they all wanna go home. It broke me.

@MissHoneyBun: :O thats amazing! I know how much training it takes for operatic singers so Im quite impressed- do you still sing, just for yourself or practice at all? Im trying to get back into it before the summer because I promised a friend I would perform one last time at our fav place for open mic night.

@Bellanouva: I do still sing. I could never stop singing! I just don’t really pursue opera anymore. I need to be taking lessons again, though. Can’t get too rusty!

Fun!! Ok five things…I’m on my iPad so I can’t use spacing. Sorry for the long paragraph!! 1. I am a crier when it comes to movies! I’m such a romantic sap! Everytime i leave the movie theatre i have a killer headache from crying the whole time. 2. I love wearing new pairs of socks. If I never had to rewear a pair I would die happy. There’s just something so great about a new pair, lol. 3. When I was younger (like 6) I used to watch the movie Dirty Dancing every day. I told my mom I was going to marry Patrick Swayze. It’s still my absolute favorite movie and I cried for 2 days (go figure!) when he passed away. 4. I put salt on everything! My poor arteries ๐Ÿ™ 5. I’m really lucky when it comes to winning contests! Last year I won two different all expense paid trips to Las Vegas on THE SAME DAY. It was the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me!
