  • poll: Sub or hoagie?

    It's always called a sub!

    No way, it's a HOAGIE.

    I call it something else.

Whatever, as long as it has meat and cheese and bread.

What is your sign? Do you think that influences how you are currently waiting? I’m a Scorpio…very full of fire and passion. I’m not sure if that influences it or if it’s just the way I happen to be. I’m doing my best to be sweet and good natured though. No stinging!!!

How long have you been waiting?
Since about September 2012…I honestly thought it was coming this past fall (and he did too…argh) so that’s when the hurtful part of waiting happened.

Do you sometimes get jealous of other’s people’s engagements?
No, because their relationships are different and on a different track. It’s about us. I love being happy for others and hearing their stories. It makes me really, really happy.

Do you have a walk date? No, not at all. Without my SO, there is NO desire to marry. It’s not like he came in and fit the bill. It’s about him. Keep in mind, I’m also 24, so it’s not like I’m super worried about my bio clock. He knows I’m waiting for him, and asked if I would stand with him, and be patient with him, and not freak out and leave him. I think we tend to forget that our men are figuring out how to take this HUGE step and that they have hearts that break too. Setting a walk date with him would really, really hurt him. I’m really ok. I’ve been dating him for just over 2 years. I can handle some waiting to make things great.

Have you had any engagement dreams? Absolutely. Some beautiful ones and some crazy ones. I think if I didn’t dream of getting engaged to him I’d be concerned. One of my dreams was truly insane though and  involved a big, plastic, pink, gumball machine ring (you know the kind!) and I told him about it and he found it to be very funny. 😀

If you’ve gone ring shopping, what’s your least favorite cut of diamond? (If you prefer another stone, then just pretend you are dealing with diamonds and had to choose!) We’ve talked about rings, and he knows to avoid emerald or other “square” or “sharp and pointy” cuts, for diamonds or any other stone. He knows I love round stones. Mainly because I hate the feeling of being stabbed to no end by people’s rings and I don’t want to be a stabber myself, especially for my future kiddos. Above all, ethically sourced stones and metals are super important.
