I had them waxed one time and it was TERRIBLE… one side of my face looked angry and the other looked normal.

OMG is still makes me want to strangle that lady :/

hahaha a good friend of mine that I work with accidentally shaved off an eyebrow once!!! don’t remember exactly how or what she did – but she had to shave off the other one to match and color them til they came back in… :p

Keep leaving them alone! They’ll grow back eventually.

The very first time I went to wax my brows, I went to an Aveda Institute. I’d never had bad luck with haircuts there, but the girl who waxed my brows wasn’t paying attention. When I was done, I met up with my brother and sister across the street and my sister made me go back. One brow was way more arched, and I guess I didn’t notice it right away. They fixed it for me, but only after pretending it looked fine at first.

My brother said he thought I just looked surprised, haha.

I have normal shaped eyebrows and one lady once waxed them to thin little lines. I looked like a caricature. I used an eyebrow pencil to fill them in until they grew back. I now make sure to say I want them “cleaned up” NOT “shaped”.

I fill in my slightly sparse brows (especially toward the nose, but I cover the rest of them too) with a bit of matte eyeshadow that matches my brow color, and then go over them with brow mascara… clear.  It’s a system that really works and makes a huge difference!  (Both the eyeshadow and brow gel are bobbi brown, if you’re wondering).

@mariawisa Bobbi Brown is the BEST makeup ever! It really confused me at first though… I was like Whitney Houstons husband has a makeup line?

lol

i lost my eyebrows a while back and now use semi permanent tattoos that are always perfect LOL

but while they were thinning and falling out i used a brow shaper and brow kit that you can get a sephoras. very easy to use and looks great!!! 🙂

while we are on the topic of waxing…if you are using Retin-A or retinoic acid for acne or anti-wrinkle, it thins the skin a bit and runs the risk of tearing the top layer of the skin~ so better options would just be to tweeze it~

@[email protected] waxing makes me nervous in general~

i don’t have a horror story but i have a FUNNY story. when i was younger and got stressed and couldn’t slepe, i felt like i had to get up and do something so i’d pluck my eyebrows sleepy and wearing glasses (I can’t see as well with glasses than contacts) and totally made my brows uneven~ what a pleasant surprise in the morning! ;D

Ha ha, I had an eyebrow waxing error a couple of years ago were the girl almost took of my whole eyebrow and left me with these (what I can only describe as) non brows.

Anyway the funny thing was I had been tanning all summer, so underneath the hair she took off was pale white skin and the rest of me was brown!!!! I actually cried, no joke :-)))))

@domestic_cat – Haha!  I’m sorry, I can’t help but laugh!  At least that would make it easy to fill in with a brow pencil.  Just make sure you’ve covered all the white and you’re good to go!

I got my eyebrows waxed for the first time was I was about 20.  I rarely touch my eyebrows except for the few new hairs that sprout up.  I have never had to go in for another wax job.  Somehow in the last 7 years though I guess I plucked a little too much from the end because one of my brows is waaay shorter.  I just extend it a bit with a pencil.  I don’t think they will ever grow back.
