Just some highlights.. Our weddings in 3.75 weeks!

“grow old with you” by adam sandler-but will be sang much better by our guitarist as we leave the ceremony

“A thousand years” by christina perry sang by a family member during our ceremony. We are cutting it down to 2 mins 45 seconds and only after I picked the song did I realize how the lyrics are for Twilight and now everyone will think of vampires at the ceremony- oh well!

“Thinking out loud” by ed sheerhan for our first dance. We we have been taking lessons for over a year now and cannot wait to pull off our dance at the reception! (Fingers crossed)

reception entrance “marry you” bruno mars

i cant wait! Even if not one of my guests likes or appreciates our music selections, i dont care. It was so fun to pull up the songs on youtube and find the ones that “fit us” best πŸ™‚

The wedding party and my husband walked down to a string quartet cover of “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz

I walked down to a string quartet cover of “Lucky” by Colbie Caillat

Our recessional was “I Love You Will Still Sound the Same” by Oh Honey

Our reception entrance song was “On Top of the World” by Imagine Dragons

Our first dance was “You Belong to Me” by Jason Wade

The father-daughter dance was “Little Miss Magic” by Jimmy Buffet

Our cake cutting song was an instrumental verison of “Still Alive” from the video game portal. I don’t know if any of our guests got the reference but my husband and I kept giggling to ourselves while cutting the cake.

We were married in a Church, so our ceremony music was all hymns..

Reception Music:

All of our bridesmaids/groomsmen pairs picked songs to walk into, so that would take forever to list, but it was cute!

Bride & Groom Entrance.. “let’s get married” jagged edge with run dmc

First Dance.. “then” brad paisley

Bride/Father.. “my little girl” tim mcgraw

Groom/Mother .. “my wish” rascal flatts (performed by his sister)

Garter .. “pony” ginuwine .. i had to .. and he made it worth it, hahaha

Cake Cutting.. “grow old with you” adam sandler

Last Dance .. “just another day in paradise” phil vassar

* We are obviously country fans.. but we kept it to these dances, and didn’t force it on the entire reception πŸ™‚

Great inspiration!

Quick Q:  Do we NEED to change songs for the bride?  Our aisle is so short that people wont get to hear much of the song if it is just for me… was thinking of using it for the whole processional.  Weird?  Thoughts?  Ideas?  Open to feedback!

clarebeemarried :  I’m using one song for the entire processional. I love the instrumental version of Turning Page by Sleeping At Last. So we are going to use that song for the entire processional, no song changes when I enter or anything πŸ™‚
