  • Wedding: September 2015

I’m 27, and my wedding is September 26, 2015.  I’ve been engaged since January 1,2014. I work in construction, usually an equipment operator but I also flag and grade as needed.

My ring is nothing like what I thought I wanted, but as soon as it was on my finger I was in love.

Our ceremony is going to be in a church, and then our reception is at a hotel about 15-20 minutes away.

Our colours are teal blue, with copper, peach, blush, champagne and rose gold, as well as any other light neutral that ‘works’ as well as some peacock feathers, mostly because I blindly bought them on eBay way back before our colours were finalized.

  • Wedding: March 2016

babybamabelle:  Hello and congratulations on your recent engagement!

I’m jelly3. I’m turning 25 next week and have been engaged for about 7 months now. My SO and I have been together for almost 5 years. My wedding is March 26 so I’m still in the My Wedding Is So Far Away It Barely Seems Like It’s Really Happening phase. I’ll be getting married at a privately owned ranch near Dallas TX and have been using “rustic glam” to try to describe my wedding vision of making the ranch glitter with lots of gold accents and blush floral (no burlap and minimal cowboy boots).

Here’s a picture of my ring. Fiance picked it out all by himself and did the best job!

Yay! I’ve been wanting to start a post like this too. Thanks, babybamabelle!

I’m 23, Fiance is turning 25, and we’ve been officially engaged since March 20 (national proposal day – and he had no idea!!) but we decided in Jan that we were going to get married, and we did get married on May 7. However, because we live in two different countries and have now been apart for almost 3 weeks πŸ™ SO and I aren’t really calling each other husband and wife, only our parents and siblings know that we are legally married, and we plan to have a full blown ceremony and reception when our immigration stuff is all sorted (we’re in the process of applying right now, so that’s  both stressful and exciting). I know that a lot of people will disagree with me, but he and I are just continuing with our lives as if we were just recently engaged, which we are :), and not yet married. I would like to have my wedding either in July 2016 or September 2016, but my family would need to fly in from Italy, so we’re trying to decide whether we should have it happen in his hometown, my hometown, have a destination wedding….it’s all pretty crazy! In the meantime, I’m trying to find a new job after my seasonal position ended and I left my city for an extended stay with Fiance in the US. My life is all over the place.

My ring is probably recognized on here because I purchased it pre-loved from another bee after I had to send my original e-ring back to the Etsy seller from whom I purchased it. (Not the best picture but my phone died so I have nothing else at the moment, haha.)

Hi! My name is Bethany, I’m 27 years old and have been married for about 1 1/2 years. I have two children, a boy (22 months old) and a girl ( 7 years old). I’m currently a stay at home mom and house wife but do plan to go back to work next year, I’m a radiology tech. Most of you know that I’m a jewelry/ring fanatic and typically stick to the ring boards. I’ve changed wedding ring sets several times because I love switching it up. Here’s is my latest beauty!

Hi! I’m 25, Fiance 32 and we have been engaged almost 2 months now, and a couple for 5.5 years. I work full time in project management. We are from the UK but moved to Sydney last year for my FI’s career. We havent set a date yet, as I would like to have a destination wedding in Europe and right now its too much plan. I am very homesick, (and hoping to move back to the UK next year!) and stumbled across the Bee in the hope I can share thoughts on weddings / enagagements as I dont have my close friends and family around to chat too!

  • Wedding: July 2015 - Muckenthaler Mansion - Fullerton, CA

This is fun! I’m Anna and I’m 32. I’m an English Professor. Fiance is also 32, and we are from the USA but currently live and work in Seoul, South Korea. We got engaged on Christmas Day, 2014 – at 6:15 am (we were both still super jet-lagged) at my parent’s house in California. Wedding is July 12, 2015 in Fullerton, CA. (We are technically doing a courthouse wedding three weeks earlier to speed up paperwork and such since we are heading back to Korea at the end of the summer.) Our wedding will be small and super low-key since we are planning from abroad – but we are super excited. Nice to meet you guys!

Hi! Last year, I started lurking here for ideas while deciding on a ‘Forever, for now’ ring after many years of ring-related missteps. I finally joined to chat, share & stare, and to be able to compliment(instead of talking to the screen like a looney! lolz)  In addition to enjoying the eye candy parade, I love the excitement, warmth, and beauty of weddings. Some of the threads make me remember and appreciate that time for us:

(iphone pic of a photo..Our scanner croaked!)

It was a garden wedding and we didn’t actually have a theme. Our colors were matte gold and a bit of red. We had oranges and lucky bamboo at the tables(as decoration and favors, the guests took them home.) It was pretty simple and small w/ mostly close friends and family. We were already legally married at the time of our wedding. We wanted an early start on the paperwork so I could move to Europe(where he’s from)…We lived there for a few years and we now live in the USA(where I’m from.)

I’m an at-home-mom of four children.  When I have the spare time and energy, I enjoy reading, gardening, aromatherapy, perfume (collecting and creating them) and painting. My favorite genres of music are 1920s-40s popular & jazz, 1960-70s singer-songwriters, psychedelic & classic rock. I love Indian and Moroccan food.

This is my ‘Forever, for now'(that means that I’m happy w/it but I’m not averse to a future change) ring:

Since this is the ring board, I want to add my 2 cents on the subject: Rings are wonderful but, in the long run, they’re not super-important. You have the rest of your lives w/ your FH-soon-to-be Darling Husband to find other rings( if you want another one.) Your preferences may change and the opinions of other people will matter less and less over time. The most important part is being with your love.

Hi! πŸ™‚ I just turned 25, and we’re getting married in Rome in October this year! I am a twin – my brother and I were born in Lille, France – and our father is South African, so we grew up in Joburg, and other countries πŸ™‚ I met my FH 11 years ago in a grungy venue in Manchester when I was 14 and lying about my age so I could play music there haha (FI and I are both lead vocalists in different bands) – we were best friends and completely infatuated with eachother for so many years, until 2013 when we finally got our act together and told eachother how we felt! It really was the best time for us though haha – and he proposed last year in May πŸ™‚

Fiance just turned 28, and he’s from Nevada! We moved to LA a long time ago (not together) and we bought a house last year together πŸ™‚

We’re getting married in an Italian cathedral (we’re surprised they even gave us permission, since we’re not religious in the slightest) and if I had to name the theme of it, it would be ‘the freaks invade the church’ haha – the reception will be at Villa Aurelia, which is 10-15 minutes away from the ceremony, and the theme is pretty much going to be dark and romantic/circus/hippie vibes…somehow πŸ˜‰

  • Wedding: Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception/The Gallery

Well, hello!

I’m Jamie. I’m 27, Fiance is closing in on 29 (mere days) and we’ve been engaged only 5 days! Our 3rd dating anniversary is Monday and we’re celebrating by going to go look at wedding venues–haha! We’re thinking an early fall 2016 wedding but haven’t committed to anything else yet.

I’m an urban planner and want-to-be stay-at-home dog mommy and now amateur wedding planner. Though we haven’t set our sights on anything specific, I’m certain we’ll be having a Catholic mass ceremony and reception downtown and I love classic color schemes (black, white, gold, touches of some seasonal accent color.)

The ring:
