I’m Jess. We got married on 1/1/11. I’ve been on the ring boards for a couple of years now lol. We have upgraded my ring a couple of times lol. I am 32 and Darling Husband is 29. He is an Occupational Therapist and I am a Respiratory Therapist. I’m currently working on my Masters in Biomedical Informatics. We don’t have children (maybe someday) so we travel as much as we can. We have 2 huskies.

Your forever and now (love that btw) ring is pretty much my dream ring. Hoping to get something similar at some anniversary way down the road. Thanks for sharing!

Hello everyone! My name is Sam and I am 23. My Fiance is 27 and we have been together for about 4 years and engaged just over 1 year. We will be getting married 11/7/15 at a country club in MD and our theme will be fall I guess ๐Ÿ˜‰

We met as lifeguards working at the same pool one summer, so I always make the joke that we wouldn’t be surprised to find what kind of body we both had since our uniform was a bathing suit. I am an Administrative Ass’t for a construction company although I have a BA in Psychology with a minor is Sociology. I plan to get my Masters in Social Work. My Fiance works in radio. He’s worked for Sirius XM, Michael Smerconish, Laura Ingrahm and currently he works for WNEW 99.1.

Hello all I’m me! lol 31 yrs old and Fiance is 33 and we’ve known each other since HS but we were definitely not HS sweethearts though we were friends. We have 3 kids between us; my teen son, his toddler daughter and our terrific (i wanted to type the other T word lol) 2yr daughter.  I’m kind of an Army brat, my dad was in the service, I worked as a civillian for over five yrs and my Fiance is in as well; he’s a trained classical singer and does so professionally. I’ve had a lot of interesting jobs since HS and even went to school for culinary arts a few yrs ago (my dad’s been a chef for 49yrs even in his time in the service so food is a BIG deal to me) but recently decided to start college to work towards a degree in social work hopefully work on food insecurity one day. So that’s pretty much my life, regular desk work, school, the kids, Fiance and wedding planning.

We’re getting married this year on new years eve to which everyone usually replies “omg soooo fun!” but it’s not going to be the raging party ppl assume. We’re doing an intimate ceremony for about 40ppl tops (includes the 5 of us) at 11am with an afternoon tea reception to follow. Kind of making a weekend out of it as most of our dearest friends live out of state so we’ll go out to dinner alone that night then meet up with them to bring in the new year. We’re also doing drinks the day before at our favorite speakeasy bar, very casual and low key as well as brunch before everyone… and by everyone I mean all of about 8 friends lol…. leaves town that Saturday. Then it’s back to the daily grind of being parents.  All of our other guest are local and mostly consist of our parents, siblings, godparents that sort of thing so they’re just happy to see us get married and get back to their lives.

I come from a huuuuuuge family and their thowing us a celebration reception in my parents hometown next summer before we leave for our extended honeymoon to Turkey. Then we’ll most likely spend our first Christmas together as an “official family” in the FI’s parents hometown of st kitts. It’s going to be a fun year!

Here’s a few pics of my ring/soon-to-be rings, our ceremony and reception venue and our STD’s because that’s pretty much the only wedding project that’s done so far lol (please excuse my crappy nails i was omw to the salon)

MrsSparkleBee13:  Thanks! We said we’d do one of those eHarmony commercials one day! lol I know that some people are nervous about meeting a potential partner this way, but you can meet ‘crazy’ at the grocery store or even be introduced to ‘crazy’ by mutual friends or family… Truth be told, my Fiance is the sane one in our relationahip! Ha

We actually get a kick out of seeing people’s reaction when we tell them how we met, and most are shocked when they find out we were on opposite sides of the earth! Love knows no longitudes/latitudes..

devonlee:  Thanks! You’re welcome! I wish I had a better photo of the flowers handy. The image in the florist’s book had deeper peachier-toned rose in the bouquet but they turned out to be more pale. The delivery was late so I had to take some of my photos with a plastic/poly bouquet. lolz I can laugh now but at the time I was sooo let-down. LOL

Oh yeah, I did the bouquet toss bit and the family friend that caught it was actually the next(of the single women at the wedding) to get married!

I’m on board with this. Fiance and I are both 23 (24 when married) and from San Antonio. We met at work in a sea of 27,000 employees. We’re both software developers full-time and we live together. We have a dog named Minnie Grace, hence the username! Grace because she’s the least graceful dog ever. We’re getting married indoors and going with an enchanted indoor forest theme. We’re both giant nerds so that’ll work it’s way in there too somehow ๐Ÿ˜›

IMG_6973Hi! Fiance and I started dating our freshman year of college and got engaged our senior year. Our wedding is almost exactly a year later (Jan 2016). I’m going to law school and he’s a pilot in the Army.

We’re having a Catholic mass at a downtown cathedral with a reception following.

It’s going to be white and gold with lots of candles and flowers..so excited!!
