Im having a destination wedding in Turks & Caicos but I plan on having a “I DO PART 2” for all the friends and family that can’t attend the wedding. I figured I would book a VFW hall here and decorate it with a different theme.

Hi MI ladies!!!!  I know this post was from awhile ago, but hopefully we can keep it going?  I’m originally from A2, now living in Philly, but planning a MI wedding for april 2011.  Venue is Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth.  Just chose a florist (Enchanted in Depot Town, Ypsi)…  Would love to hear recommendations on DJ’s, photogs, cakes….  ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll keep it going. I know there’s more MI brides out there.

Our wedding is at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak. The ceremony is at the fountain and the reception is in the Wildlife Intrepretive Gallery (the renovated aviary that is attached to the butterfly house). The food there is soo good. We are having plain cheesecakes from Costco with different toppings (fruits, fudge, nuts, etc). We are getting flowers from Blumz in Ferndale, photographer is a friend, Michael Sarnacki.

The last pic is weird but it’s the inside of our reception site.

Hi Ladies,

I would love to re-start this message thread. Please post any recommendations for venues/vendors/ect. It’s so nice to know that there are so many of you out there that are planning and having the same stresses as me.

Our Wedding:

Feb 12, 2011

Venue: Cobblestone in Ann Arbor

Photographer: Tracy Grosshans. I’m loving her recent wedding pics and her price is right.

Cake: We’re thinking Gwens, a friend just had a cake from her for her bridal shower and said it was great. Very reasonable prices too.

Caterer: Undecided, it seems that there are very high end/ and low end caterers in the area yet very few medium price points. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Flowers: Totally lost on this,

DOC: Haven’t found one yet that is reasonably priced, again, any suggestions?

DJ: No clue yet.

So, we’re getting there yet there is still a lot to be done in the next 3 months! I’m currently living in S. Korea so planning is a challange for sure. They say it all comes together in the end, let’s hope they’re not lying! ๐Ÿ™‚
