He knew I liked simple and I liked princess cut from a very short conversation many years ago. He surprised me with this, almost 1 year ago! Perfect…..

We chose mine together. I wanted a cushion cut in halo setting, he wanted a round solitaire, so we compromised on a round in a halo setting.

I picked mine, although he probably would have picked the same type of ring.

Today is Earth Day...oh, and also, I'M ENGAGED! :D (Ring Pics!) : wedding Ringgg

I gave him 2 options to choose from, and he ended up loving and choosing a totally different ring! However, I was there with him when he chose it and I absolutely loved it as well! It was perfect for me.

I chose the stone and Fiance and I chose the setting together.  Which option should I choose in the poll?

My hubby and I picked out my ring. Its the version we could afford at the time. Eventually (he talking our 5 or 10yr anniversary) we will upgrade it to the hearts on fire version that is my absolute dream ring

I told him what I wanted (without trying things on in a store) and then he went to the store and got me exactly that. So he both picked it completely on his own and had input from me. He did ignore what I said I wanted sizewise (he went bigger 😀 ).

@bunnyharriet:  Added to a totally different setting from skashi.com…Who are incredible to the nth million degree!!!! We were able to upgrade the stones to match my center & everything!!! We ordered a handful of settings from them so that we could see them in person and I saw this one and just had to have it!!!

DH (OMG, my first post saying that!) and I went browsing a few times together, so he’d have an idea of what I wanted/what suited me. Before we went, I was sure I wanted a princess cut stone, but it turns out a round stone was best..
I wanted a .50-.75ct centre stone with a thin pavé band, and ended up with something a bit different:

I got the shank/band I wanted, but it’s more of a mini-halo/cluster ring (.35tcw). With my wedding band it’s still (just) under .50cts, but I love it. We’ve talked about upgrading in the future to my ‘dream’ ring, though.

Fiance basically said “tell me what you want.”  I gave him a list of five settings I’d be happy with, and he picked his favorite.  I’m glad he made the final decision as I kept changing my mind on which one was my favorite.
