SO chose it all by himself/herself.

I gave SO an idea of what to choose.

    I custom designed a ring.

SO custom designed a ring and gave it to me.

    My ring is an heirloom.

SO and I worked together to rework an existing ring or stone.

SO reworked an existing stone or ring and surprised me with it.

I gave Fiance some ideas, but he didn’t really listen, and went ahead and picked something on his own. I still love it though and wouldn’t have it any other way!

We chose the ring “together,” in the sense that he was there, but he was mostly just standing there looking at the rings while the saleslady and I talked.  In the end, we (I) chose a simple solitaire in a 6 prong setting.

Fun thread! Lovely rings here. I picked out my own ring because it was so important to me to choose the ring I would wear everyday for the rest of my life. Also, I’m the one who proposed (with a band for my fiance), so I go to choose my ring afterwards.

I wanted an elegant ring of subtantial size, but no large center stone. I don’t feel comfortable with a large stone and don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a ring. I found the perfect e-ring while shopping myself!! I purchased it and my fiance paid me half. So we paid for it together. The center stone is 0.3 ct and has 10 prongs, which keep it secure. The center-stone is set in the halo so it doesn’t stick out, which makes it easy to wear everyday.

    Loooooooooooove it!!!

We went shopping together to figure out what we like and don’t like and then he custom designed the ring with a jeweller. It’s just perfect!

We looked together. Originally we were going to use a stone in the family but it was not a shape we liked so we kept looking. We found some settings we liked and narrowed it down to 2. I let him pick the final setting and the stone, I just told him which stone cuts I preferred. He did really well 🙂

Beautiful rings everyone!!!!!  I knew exactly what I wanted, and because I am so picky my husband let me design the ring.  I knew I wanted a diamond halo, diamonds down the shank, we both wanted an emerald cut stone and I wanted a larger yellow sapphire as sapphire is my birthstone.  The center stone is 5.18 cts and it took about 6 months to source the stone.  I love that my husband loves the ring as much as I do!!!!!

He wanted to pick out on his own. He chose a circa 30’s style with 1 main diamond and 12 little ones.

Such beautiful rings! My SO is insisting on picking the ring himself and you’re SO’s picks are giving me hope that I will also have a gorgeous ring.
