@roofox:  Yes, a superior cut definitely makes a big difference in how a princess looks. And a well cut J is always going to look better than a poorly cut colorless stone. And the same is true for rounds as well.

@DashingDavis:  I also have the 11 Pro Max and I’m SO disappointed in the camera! That’s as close up as a picture as I can get as well.

I have discovered that if I take a picture of my stone through a loupe, I can get a better picture. 😀 But with just my phone, it comes out super blurry close up.

@sarizona:  Such a neat and beautiful picture! (Of course, you know I am a big fan of your beautiful ring. 😉 )

I am loving all the beautiful photos, rings, and stones on this thread. My weather for most of the day has been cloudy and gra (typical January midwest day — ha, ha). But seeing all your beauties really makes my day brighter!

I love playing around with macro photos. But I am not great at getting them with my phone. These are from my regular camera.

@DashingDavis:

I have that phone. Are you using the 2x option? Because I can get much closer close ups than what you’ve pictured. Not being mean, genuinely trying to help. My photos are on the first page of this thread, taken with iPhone 11 Pro.
